warming potential

R290 (propane) has a GWP* of 3 and therefore a significantly lower global warming potential than many conventional HFC refrigerants.

This colourless and odourless gas features similar pressure levels and refrigerating capacity to conventional refrigerants. People have been using R290 in heat pumps, air conditioning units and refrigeration systems for years – and at an ever increasing rate.
R290 has thermodynamic and refrigeration properties that enable its use in a wide range of refrigeration applications. In certain applications, R290 can be used energy-efficiently.
