In their longstanding strategic partnership, the Al Mansour Holding Group and Schweitzer have successfully set a new standard for retail in the Middle East with the creation of a completely new concept: Fresh Food Market.

The Fresh Food Market brand was founded with the vision of redefining the concept of grocery shopping. The idea was to create a luxury destination where customers could "eat and shop" simultaneously, rather than just a supermarket. The concept aims to offer high-quality, minimally processed ingredients and an unparalleled selection.

The biggest challenge of the project was optimizing the retail spaces to create an engaging and interactive environment. Schweitzer's Design + Build approach—a seamless process uniting design and execution under one roof—made it possible to integrate innovative elements like a blend-your-own-tea station and an adaptable pop-up section. The successful collaboration between the Al Mansour and Schweitzer teams not only created the Fresh Food Market brand but also established a strategic foundation for future projects.

Beyond the physical layout, visual merchandising and product packaging played a crucial role. The concept focused on a natural aesthetic and clear product presentation. The packaging was designed as "hand-drawn mini-artworks" to enhance the overall shopping experience. Despite logistical challenges, such as ongoing road construction, customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, confirming the strong demand for such high-level shopping experiences.

The success of the Fresh Food Market Square 1 proves that the future of retail in the Middle East lies in moving away from the traditional supermarket model toward a "high-level gourmet experience." The focus must be on unique products, exceptional service, and appealing store design.
Fresh Food Market is currently focused on the Egyptian market, with plans for future expansion throughout the region.

We’d be delighted to meet you at the Middle East Retail Forum 2025!
